The 2021 FFL Calendar

9th, 2021
The FFL re-opens for business today
at 12:01 AM EST; teams can
begin re-signing up to three of their restricted free agents (RFAs),
trade with other teams, and trade away 2021 and 2022 1st and 2nd round
draft picks, as well as 2021 3rd round draft picks.

2021
This is the final day for coaches
to re-sign their maximum three
RFAs; once this deadline passes, coaches will relinquish their rights
to all remaining RFAs, and those players will be eligible for inclusion on the Free Agent bidding list.
Saturday, June
19th, 2021-Sunday June 27th, 2021
At some point during this time
period, the commissioner will formally announce
whether the 2021 FFL Draft/Free Agency Day will be held at a physical
location or via Zoom.
Sunday, June
20th, 2021
The commissioner will release a
list of players eligible to be bid
on during FFL Free Agency Day. Coaches will have one week to request
the addition of players to this list.
Sunday, June
27th, 2021
This is the final day for coaches
to request additions to the FFL Free
Agency Day list. After this date passes, only players released between
June 28th and the day before the FFL Draft (July 24th) will be added to
the list.
Saturday, July
24th, 2021
This is the final day for coaches
to release players from their teams and be eligible to re-sign them
during Free Agency Day.
Sunday, July
25th, 2021
FFL Draft/Free Agency Day (the 2022
FFL Draft will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022). The draft will begin
at 1:00 PM EST.
Sunday,
September 5th, 2021
This is the last day to return
drafted rookies on the practice squad
that had been activated to the main roster. All drafted rookies are
automatically placed on the practice squad until they are activated.
Once the season starts rookies who are on active rosters cannot be put
on the practice
squad, and once a practice squad rookie is activated to a team's main
roster he cannot move back down to the practice squad. This is the
deadline
to have the flexible back-and-forth option.

31st, 2021
The deadline to make trades is
today at noon EST. After this deadline passes, there
can be no more trades made until the league re-opens in March or April
of 2022.
Sunday, November
21st, 2021
The deadline to sign free agents,
activate players from the practice
squad, or place players on injured reserve is the kickoff of the 1:00
PM
EST games. Once this deadline has passed, any players who are still on
waivers can be claimed. If a player is received off of waivers and a
player is released to make room for him, then that player will not go
to waivers and instead will be declared ineligible to be signed (along
with all other free agents) for the remainder of the season.
