Matchups if the Playoffs Started Today (as of Week 13)
#1 Seed Miami Pirates (11-1-1, clinched NFC) vs. #4 Seed Buffalo Stallions (8-5, clinched Wild Card)
#2 Seed Minnesota Renegades (10-2-1, clinched CFC) vs. #3 Seed Denver Destroyers (7-6, lead AFC)
The Race for the #1 Seed
Miami would clinch the #1 seed with a win or tie OR a Minnesota loss or tie
Minnesota would clinch the #1 seed with a win AND a Miami loss AND the Renegades win the Total Season Points tiebreaker over the Pirates (Miami leads Minnesota 746-721 as of Week 13; therefore in this scenario the Renegades would need to outscore the Pirates by at least 26 points in Week 14)
NOTE:
In the event that Miami and Minnesota both finish with the same record
AND they both have the same amount of points scored on the season (i.e.
Minnesota outscores Miami by exactly 25 points in Week 14), per Rule
14-B-4 the Pirates would be the #1 seed since they tied in Week 13 of
this season, and the rule states that the winner of the prior matchup
before their most recent would win the tiebreaker; Miami defeated
Minnesota in Week 12 of the 2020 season, the last time the two teams
played each other prior to this season.
The AFC Division Race
Denver would clinch the AFC with a win or tie against Cincinnati
