The 2022 FFL Calendar
NOTE: All dates listed below may be
tentative and are subject to change.
Saturday, April
9, 2022
The FFL re-opens for business today
at 6:01 AM EST; teams can
begin re-signing up to three of their restricted free agents (RFAs),
trade with other teams, and trade away 2022 and 2023 first and second
round
draft picks, as well as 2022 third round draft picks. All players who
were still on teams' practice squads at the close of the 2021 season
will be formally activated to main rosters and count towards teams'
roster requirements.
Saturday April 23, 2022
FFL Draft Lottery (approximately 12:15 PM EST)
FFL Schedule Release (by 3:00 PM EST)
Sunday, May 8,
2022
This is the final day for coaches
to re-sign their maximum three
RFAs; once this deadline passes, coaches will relinquish their rights
to all remaining RFAs, and those players will be eligible for (but not
guaranteed) inclusion
on the Free Agent bidding list.
Friday, June 24,
2022-Thursday June 30, 2022
At some point during this time
period, the commissioner will formally announce
whether the 2022 FFL Draft/Free Agency Day will be held at a physical
location or via Zoom.

26, 2022
The commissioner will release a
list of players eligible to be bid
on during FFL Free Agency Day. Coaches will have one week to request
the addition of players to this list.
Sunday, July 3,
2022
This is the final day for coaches
to request additions to the FFL Free
Agency Day list. After this date passes, only players released between
July 4th and the day before the FFL Draft (July 23rd) will be added to
the list.

23, 2022
This is the final day for coaches
to release players from their teams and be eligible to re-sign them
during Free Agency Day.

24, 2022
FFL Draft/Free Agency Day (the 2023
FFL Draft will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023). The draft will begin
at 1:00 PM EST.
Sunday,
September 4, 2022 - Prior to Week 1
This is the last day to return
drafted rookies to the practice squad
that had been activated to the main roster. All drafted rookies are
automatically placed on the practice squad until they are activated.
Once the season starts rookies who are on active rosters cannot be put
on the practice
squad, and once a practice squad rookie is activated to a team's main
roster he cannot move back down to the practice squad.
Thursday, September 8, 2022 - Week 1
The deadline for coaches to submit their depth charts to
the league is five minutes prior to the kickoff of the first game of
the 2022 season. Per Rule 3-A, if a coach fails to submit a depth chart
prior to this deadline, the commissioner will set one for them using
the player rankings from a fantasy football website of his choosing. If
the depth chart includes rookies who were not yet activated to the main
roster, these players will be presumed activated.
Sunday, October
30, 2022 - Week 8
The deadline to make trades is
today at noon EST. After this deadline passes, there
can be no more trades made until the league re-opens in March or April
of 2022.
Sunday, November
20, 2022 - Week 11
The deadline to sign free agents,
activate players from the practice
squad, or place players on injured reserve for the 2022 season is the
kickoff of the 1:00
PM
EST games. Once this deadline has passed, any players who are still on
waivers can be claimed. If a player is received off of waivers and a
player is released to make room for him, then that player will not go
to waivers and instead will be declared ineligible to be signed (along
with all other free agents) for the remainder of the season. All
players still on practice squads at this time must remain there until
they are activated to the main rosters prior to the FFL re-opening for
the 2023 season.
Tuesday, December 13, 2022 - After
Week 14
The commissioner will reveal the five nominees for Most Valuable
Player and Least Valuable Player, and the three nominees for Rookie of
the Year and Coach of the Year. Coaches (excluding the commissioner)
will rank their choices in order for each category and submit them to
the commissioner by December 20th, after which he will tally the votes;
a majority of six votes will be required to determine a winner,
otherwise the eliminated candidates' votes will be redistributed based
on Rule 14-G until a winner is determined.
Wednesday, December 21, 2022 - Prior
to Week 16
The 2022 FFL Award winners will be announced by the commissioner.
